SPECIFICATION


Cylinder Head

Use new cylinder head gaskets.

Tighten the cylinder head bolts.
Tighten all bolts 29 Nm (3.0 kgf-m, 22 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts 69 Nm (7.0 kgf-m, 51 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence again.
Back off all bolts by 180° first; back them off by 180° again in reverse order of installation.
Tighten all bolts 49 Nm (5.0 kgf-m, 36 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts 80 to 90° in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts 40 to 45° in alphabetical sequence again.

CAUTION: Do not tighten the bolts by more than 45°.

Further tighten all bolts (A) and (B) by 40 to 45°.

CAUTION: Ensure that the total "re-tightening angle" in the previous two steps do not exceed 90°.


Crank Pulley Tightening Torque 127 Nm (13 kgf-m, 94.0 ft. lbs.)


Drive Plate Tightening Torque 72 Nm (7.3 kgf-m, 52.8 ft. lbs.)


Oil Pump Tightening Torque 6.4 Nm (0.65 kgf-m, 4.7 ft. lbs.)


Water Pump





NOTE:
^ Replace the gasket with a new one.
^ When installing the water pump, tighten bolts in two stages in alphabetical sequence as shown in the figure.
