Select Lever





^ The select lever moves through seven positions. Since movement of the lever is restricted by gates in the guide and a pin on the lever, it can always be retained correctly in a desired position. Before shifting the lever from P to R, 3 to 2, N to R or R to P, a button on the lever is pressed to unlock the lever.
^ To transmit movements of the select lever to the transmission, a push-pull cable is used.
^ The detent spring is a new addition to the select lever mechanism. It ensures more precise positioning of the select lever.
^ A plastic select lever base plate is used.
