Equipment Hookup & Adjustment Procedure

TIMING PROCEDURE (ELECTRONIC IGNITION)

1. Warm up the engine.
2. Turn the ignition switch off.
3. Disconnect the throttle sensor connector.
4. Check for continuity between terminals A & B.
5. If continuity exists, go to step 6. If not, adjust or replace the throttle sensor as necessary.
6. Reconnect the throttle sensor connector.
7. Connect the test mode connector. (Connect the two green connectors under driver's side of dash together).
8. Start the engine and allow to idle. Do NOT depress the accelerator pedal.
9. Check and adjust ignition timing to:

20 degrees BTDC

10. Stop the engine and disconnect the test mode connector.
