Assembly
Fig. 5 Main jet, slow jet and air bleed location:
1. Install switch vent solenoid valve with O-rings, then the primary and secondary slow air bleeds.
2. Install duty solenoid valve, then apply a suitable silicon grease to duty solenoid valve O-ring.
3. Install needle valve case with washer, then the float with needle valve and float shaft. Adjust float lever as described under ``Adjustments.''
4. Install accelerating pump piston and pump cover.
5. Install primary and secondary main jets and float chamber drain plugs with washers, then install lock plate.
6. Install primary slow jet, then install plug Fig. 5.
7. Install secondary slow jet, then the air bleed Fig. 5.
8. Install primary and secondary main air bleeds, then the throttle adjusting screw and spring.
9. Install adjusting plate, lever, washer, sleeve and components onto throttle valve shaft.
10. Assemble float chamber and throttle chamber with new gaskets. Ensure to attach throttle valve shaft spring to float chamber body. After installation, check that both primary and secondary throttle valves move properly.
11. Install idle adjusting screw, spring and screw case. Do not install plug before idle adjustment.
12. Connect secondary diaphragm rod to secondary throttle valve shaft, then install injector weight.
13. Install ball and piston return spring with hooked portion facing downward.
14. Install anti-dieseling switch with plunger, spring and washer.
15. Position choke chamber on float chamber with gasket and clamps.
16. Install cam connecting rod with cotter pins and plain washers, then connect accelerating pump connecting rod to pump lever by inserting rod end into hole in pump lever.
17. Install pump lever with pump lever shaft screw, plain washer and spring washer.
18. Install idle-up actuator. When installing idle-up actuator, securely tighten idle adjusting screw so as not to allow throttle valve to gauge throttle bore surface.
19. Connect vacuum hose to main vacuum diaphragm, then ensure all linkages operate smoothly.
