Functional Test
1. Using stethoscope or long screwdriver, check for operating noise (clicking) at injector.
2. If operating noise is not heard, proceed as follows:
a. Disconnect cable from positive battery terminal.
b. Disconnect electrical connector at fuel injector and measure resistance between two terminals of injector side connector. Resistance should be .5-2 ohms.
c. Measure resistance between injector side connector and body ground. Resistance should be greater than 1M ohms.
d. If resistances are not as specified, replace fuel injector.
e. Connect cable at positive battery terminal and, with engine off, measure voltage between engine harness side connector of fuel injector and engine ground.
f. If voltage is not 12 volts on both the battery and control unit sides, check fusible link and harness connector and repair as necessary.
