Fuel Filler Cap: Description and Operation

Fuel Filler Cap:

PURPOSE
Prevents development of a vacuum in the fuel tank in event of fuel vapor line problems and as fuel level varies.

OPERATION
When vacuum develops in the tank, valve "A" opens to admit air and thus equalize tank pressure.
