HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: FRONT EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR: REMOVAL; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing. Service Precautions

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
* The power window system utilizes a mechanism that the door glass moves down slightly when the door is opened, and that the glass moves up when closing the door in order to prevent the door molding from being damaged. When the battery negative (-) terminal needs to be disconnected for servicing, fully open the driver and passenger door glasses in advance.

3. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE AIR INLET DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

5. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

6. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE Disassembly

7. REMOVE COOLING UNIT CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

8. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

9. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONER TUBE ASSEMBLY Disassembly

10. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR

(a) Remove the No. 1 cooler thermistor from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
