Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Testing and Inspection

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: INSPECTION; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. INSPECT THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector from the thermistor assembly.









(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NOTICE:
* Even slightly touching the sensor may change the resistance value. Be sure to hold the connector of the sensor.
* When measuring, the sensor temperature must be the same as the thermistor assembly.

HINT
As the temperature increases, the resistance decreases (see the graph).

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the thermistor assembly.
