DESCRIPTION

The ECM stores this code if the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) reference code and the reference code from the ECM do not match.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) or ECM is replaced, refer to Registration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (NUMBER OF REGISTRATION KEY)

(a) Connect Techstream to DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

2. REGISTER KEY

(a) Register the key Programming and Relearning.

OK:

The key code can be registered.

NG -- CHECK FOR DTC

3. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID

(a) Register the ECU communication ID Programming and Relearning.

OK:

The ECU communication ID can be registered.

NG -- CHECK FOR DTC

OK -- END

4. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

5. REPLACE ECM

(a) Temporarily replace the ECM with a new or known good one Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID

(a) Register the ECU communication ID Programming and Relearning.

OK:

The ECU communication ID can be registered.

NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) Removal
