Fault Symptoms

Courtesy lights not working.

Condition

The output is overload protected and is cut if the load is too high. A DTC is generated if this occurs.

DTCs are not generated if the voltage is below 11 V or during diagnostic communication.

Diagnostic Help

Make sure the bulbs are of the correct rating.

If a lamp with too high a rating is fitted, diagnostic trouble code B1240 can be generated.

The overload protection is reset by turning the ignition OFF and then ON.

Important: The DICE control module can be damaged if a bulb with incorrect rating is fitted.
