Airbag, Passenger (333P)







Main function
The main function of the passenger airbag is to protect the passenger in the event of a head-on collision.

Type
The dual-stage airbag can be activated with different pressure settings depending on the intensity of the impact and the seat position. The driver airbag consists of a metal housing, two electric detonators with different coding and two explosive charges containing different amounts of propellant for stages 1 and 2 and a filter.

Connection
B+ will receive current from control module pin 14 when activated for the driver airbag stage 1 charge. Grounding occurs via pin 13 on the control module.










From the control module, pin 7 receives voltage during B+ activation for driver airbag stage 2 charge. Grounding occurs via pin 6 on the control module.
