Coolant, Mixture and Freezing Point

Coolant, mixture and freezing point
Check the mixture. The coolant (ethylene glycol mixture) should withstand temperatures of at least -30°C (-22°F). The mixture is also important for effective anti-corrosion protection. Certain climates require a mixture which can withstand lower temperatures. Refill when necessary with 50% SAAB Original coolant and 50% water.
Avoid mixing different types of coolant.
Fill the system when the engine is cold. Do not fill past the MAXIMUM level marking. Check the level after running the engine (=thermostat opening) and adjust accordingly.
