On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
Continuous

Enable criteria:
Start engine revving.
Voltage drops more than 0.5 V.
Pressure in intake manifold drops more than 1 kPa.

Fault criteria:
If the input conditions are fulfilled for more than 2 s, the damper is closed for 2 s to evaluate the relationship between intake pressure and atmospheric pressure. If intake pressure is less than atmospheric pressure + 3 kPa for 0.5 s, a DTC is generated.

Dependent:
None

System reaction to a fault:
None

OK report:
When the signal from the crankshaft position sensor exceeds 100 rpm.

Fault handling:
Type III
(See Description of On-Board Diagnostics/Fault handling III, "Other emission-related components and functions" for more information.)
