Starter Motor Replacement

To Remove
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Important : Do not disconnect the battery cable while the engine is running as this could seriously damage the generator (alternator).

2 Disconnect the electric leads from the starter motor.
3 Slacken the upper mounting of the stay bar. It is not necessary to remove it.
4 Remove the two starter motor retaining bolts.
5 Lower the starter motor to remove it.

To Install
Install in reverse order.
