System Pressure Control Valve

Valves are illustrated in their positions when the selector lever is set to neutral.

This valve opens when pressure reaches a certain level and the fluid is led back to the suction side of the pump. This valve functions as a variable pressure limiting valve and works in relation to modulator pressure.

Throttle pressure controls system pressure via modulator pressure. The torque converter is fed with system pressure via a restriction. System pressure is limited by a pressure relief valve in the pump housing.
