Removal

To Remove
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2 Unplug the rear oxygen sensor connector.
3 Remove the generator's air intake by lifting it straight up.
4 Slacken the belt tensioner by using a 15 mm spanner to turn the belt tensioner pulley's retaining bolt forwards in the car.
Remove the belt from the belt tensioner and then slowly release the belt tensioner.
5 Remove the belt tensioner.
6 Jack up the car and remove the right-hand front wheel and the front section of the wing liner.
7 Unplug the front oxygen sensor connector.
8 Remove the front exhaust pipe section.
9 Remove the generator's lower retaining bolt.
10 Remove the generator's upper retaining bolt.
11 Remove the cable clamp for the oil pressure switch.
12 Remove the generator carefully and turn it so that the leads can be disconnected.
13 Lift out the generator.

To Install
Install in reverse order.
Make sure that the multigroove belt is correctly installed.
