Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair






Head lamps, 5-d (CC) and CD -M94 (not US, JP)

Important : Do not install 100 W bulbs as they could cause the reflector to melt.

1 Open the bonnet and remove the cover from the rear of the headlamp installation.
2 Unplug the connector from the bulb.
3 Undo the spring clip.
4 Install a new bulb. Do not touch the glass envelope of the new bulb with your fingers. Make sure that the three locating lugs on the lamp base are correctly positioned.
5 Close the spring clip, making sure that it is correctly located.
6 Plug in the connector and reinstall the protective cover.






Headlamps, 5-d (CC) and CD -M94 (US, JP)
1 Open the bonnet and remove the bulb holder.
2 Change the bulb.
3 Install a new bulb. Do not touch the glass envelope with your fingers.
4 Install the bulb holder.






Headlamps, CS and CD M95- (not US, JP)
Access to the bulb for changing it is gained by removing the cover on the rear of the headlamp.

Important : When refitting the cover after changing the bulb, first check the way it is secured to the headlamp. A certain knack is needed to install it easily in place.






Headlamps CS and CD M95- (US, JP)
The bulbs are changed from the rear of the head lamp.
