Complete Valve Body
NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.Disassembly
1. Place the valve body on a carefully cleaned workbench.
2. Remove the cover from the upper part of the valve body, five screws.
NOTE: If the gasket under the cover is OK, it need not be changed.
3. Remove the upper part of the valve body, four screws.
4. Slide the separator plate off the side of the valve body.
- Do not lift.
CAUTION:
^ The separator plate must be pushed off from the side of the valve body.
^ It must not be lifted. if the separator plate is lifted up, parts in the valve body may also be lifted.
5. Remove the two plastic balls for valve shift pressure 1-2 and 2-3.
a. Ball, valve throttle pressure shifting 1-2, diameter: 4.5 mm.
b. Ball, valve throttle pressure shifting 2-3, diameter: 4.5 mm.
6. Grip the valve body and turn it upside down.
- The parts of the valve body must not slide apart.
7. Slide the lower part of the valve body away.
- Do not lift.
CAUTION:
^ The part of the valve body must be slid off from the side. it must not be lifted up.
^ If the part of the valve body is lifted, parts from inside the valve body may also be lifted.
8. Remove ball and restrictions. Carefully arrange the ball and restrictions so that they cannot be mixed up when installing.
The following parts are removed:
a. Ball (922), traction valve 3 4, diameter: 6 mm.
b. Restriction (916/II), clutch C
c. Restriction (640/I), clutch E
d. Restriction (908/II), brake band C'
e. Restriction, (750/I), accumulator C'1
f. Restriction (830/I), time control valve
g. Restriction (912/II), brake band C1
NOTE:
^ In order to keep the parts in order, mark the internal placing of the parts on a piece of paper in the order in which they are installed in the valve body.
^ Then place the parts on the marks on the paper as they are lifted out of the valve body.
