Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disable airbag system as described under ``Precautions.''
2. Disconnect sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove sensor mounting screws, then the sensor.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure good ground is obtain for sensor.
b. Lubricate threads and receiving hole in rivet nut and new retaining screws. Use lubricant with good conductivity and high viscosity.
c. Install sensor with arrow on sensor pointing forward.
