A running change has been introduced in production as of VIN Serial No. P1030470 whereby the 25 amp window motor fuses have been replaced with 30 amp fuses. It is possible under certain operating conditions (i.e. when using the "one-touch" feature on both front windows at the same time or when operating both rear windows with the vehicle in reverse) for the 25 amp window motor fuses to blow. Therefore, on all 1992 and 1993 9000 models up to VIN Serial No. P1030469 these fuses (positions 9 and 11) must be replaced at PDI with 30 amp fuses to avoid possible customer complaints.

On cars in service this same problem may occur. If you have had customer complaints of this nature, please follow the instructions below.

Action:





Replace both 25 amp window motor fuses with 30 amp fuses. Refer to Figure 1 for fuse location.

NOTE

The circuit is capable of carrying this higher current without any negative effects.
