Fault (Trouble) Code 5/33423

1. With ECU connector disconnected, check resistance in circuit between pin 3 and pin 38 of TC/ABS-system ECU using breakout box. Resistance should be 5-7 ohms.
a. If circuit is good, clear fault code and test drive vehicle to see if fault code is regenerated. If so, try a known good ECU.
b. If circuit is faulty, go to step 2.
2. Check for continuity in right front inlet valve winding by measuring resistance across pins 1 and 7 on valve body. Resistance should be 5-7 ohms. If not, replace hydraulic unit.
3. Check lead between pin 1 on valve connector and pin 38 on TC/ABS-system ECU for a broken or short circuit.
4. Check lead between pin 7 on valve connector and pin 30 on system relay for a broken or short circuit.
