Removal

WARNING: Before commencing any work, read the Service Precautions section. Service Precautions

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: The engine must not be running when the cable is disconnected, since the alternator could then be seriously damaged.

2. Left-hand side: Lift up and bend aside the front main fuse box.
3. Snip the cable tie, unplug the connector and remove the front sensor.
4. Unscrew the bolts using the special torx bit (part No. 84 71 120) to remove sensor.
