Safety Rules
SAFETY RULESWARNING:
- When carrying out any work involving fuel, the fuel supply or fuel injection, make sure that the premises are well ventilated.
- If approved extraction equipment for fuel vapor is available, use it.
- Since prolonged contact with fuel may give rise to skin irritation, suitable gloves should be worn.
- No smoking anywhere in the vicinity. Always make sure that a suitable fire extinguisher is near at hand.
1. Never start the engine unless the battery is properly connected to the car's electrical system.
2. Never attempt to start the engine using an external power source, such as batteries connected in series (24 V) or a boost charger (16 V), with the battery connected to the car's electrical system.
3. If a boost charger is used, make sure that both battery cables are disconnected from the battery terminals.
4. Never disconnect the battery while the engine is running.
5. Make sure that all electrical connections make good contact.
6. Never unplug or plug in the control module connector with the ignition switched on.
7. Unplug the ignition system's output stage before carrying out a compression test.
8. At temperatures above +80c (176F) (stove enamelling/oven drying) the control module must be removed from the car.
9. Always remove the control module before starting any electric welding.
10. Take care never to make wrong electrical connections.
