Subject: New Special Tool for the Striker
Plate Adjustment

Application: 1986- 9000 Models


The front door lock on 1991 9000 models has been changed in the B-pillar area. This change to the lock requires a new Striker Plate Adjusting tool, P/N 82 92 856. The new tool can be used for M86-90 models and M91 - models thus replacing the old Striker Plate tool, P/N 82 92 468. To use the new Striker Plate tool, follow the same procedures as stated in the 9000 Service Manual, Sec. 8:1, page 830-4.


NOTE

The new Striker Plate tool, P/N 8292856, has not been designated as a required special tool. It is available for ordering from your servicing Saab Parts Distribution Center.
