Diagnostic procedure

1 If an ISAT scan tool is not used, go to point 2.

LH 2.4 (M1990-), 2.4.1 and 2.4.2.
Connect the ISAT scan tool. Select command code 207. Check whether ignition pulses are obtained.

If pulses are present (8B107), change the control module.

If no pulses are present (8B007), go to point 2.

2 Plug the Breakout Box into the car's wiring harness, LH control module not connected.

3 Check that current is present on pin 1 of the control module at the same time as the starter motor is run.

If current is present, change the control module. If it is not, check the lead between pin 1 of the LH control module and the respective ignition system (ignition coil pin 1, ignition pulse amplifier pin 7, DI/APC control module pin 29, EZK control module pin 17, ignition power module pin TD-0).
