Repair Procedure B

1. Remove the rubber accordion bellows between the front and rear sections of the center console.


2. Unscrew the four mounting screws that fasten the center console section. Lift the console enough to gain access to the back-up light switch on the leftside of the shift lever housing.


3. Disconnect the wires from the switch and unscrew the switch from the housing.


4. Add a second thin washer, P/N 83 11 904, to the switch to shim it out further. Or, remove the single thin washer and replace it with one thick washer, P/N 80 30 017.


5. Refit the switch, wiring, center console, and rubber accordion spacer.
