For more reliable connections with both the pins and the connector housings, the 29-pin bulkhead connectors have been replaced by a new 33-pin design at VIN M5004704 and M7010507. The new connector has 33 flat pins with three different sizes, as well as a built-in latch mechanism that locks the two halves together (Figure 1).


The colors of the top, middle, and lower connector housings have changed as follows:
