Remedy 4
1. Disconnect two connectors H3-16 and H3-17. Ensure pins are firmly secured and in correct positions. Connect and disconnect connector several times. Wait a minimum of 35 seconds with the ignition switched On and check if fault code persists. If code persists, proceed to step 2.2. Remove mounting screws from front sensors and proceed as follows:
a. Using wire brush or blunt thread tap, clean threads of rivet nut and contact surfaces between sensor and bracket on body. Do not use chemicals of any kind.
b. Lubricate threads and receiving hole in rivet nut.
c. Lubricate threads of new mounting screw, then install front sensors.
d. Erase fault code and wait for at least 35 seconds with ignition switch On. If fault code persists, proceed to step 3.
3. Disconnect and connect H4-10 and H4-11 several times. Erase fault code and wait for at least 35 seconds with ignition switch On. If fault code persists, proceed to step 4.
4. Check ground point B21 and ground lead to electronic unit. Erase fault code and wait for at least 35 seconds with ignition switch On. If fault code persists, proceed to step 5.
5. Remove electronic unit retaining screws, then proceed as follows:
a. Using wire brush or blunt thread tap, clean contact surfaces under retaining screw and threads of rivet nut. Do not use chemicals of any kind.
b. Reinstall screws. Ensure ground cables are attached to right screws.
c. Erase fault code and wait for at least 35 seconds with ignition switch On. Check if fault code persists. If fault code persists, replace electronic unit.
