Subject: New Door Window Stops for

Preventing Door Window Glass Slippage

Application: 1986 Up To Early-1990 900 Convertibles

On convertible door windows up to VIN L7016507, the window stop could slide along the glass and allow the window to extend beyond the intended top limit of travel. If this occurs, it could result in damage to the top seal and to the glass.

As a running change, a new window stop and securing bolt have been introduced into production as from VIN L7016508. The new stops have a metal insert that permits a greater tightening torque, thus eliminating the slipping tendencies.

Two versions of the new stop are available for service purposes. The white colored stops are designed for the early version rear stop bracket that were utilized up to VIN K7021109. The black colored stops are to be fitted to rear stop brackets on cars from VIN K7021110-L7016507 and to all front stop brackets.
