Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
1. Depressurize system, refer to HYDRAULIC UNIT, prior to beginning work.2. To gain access to the hydraulic unit, remove battery, fuel filter and battery shelf.
3. Disconnect all hydraulic unit electrical connectors.
4. Remove bracket from master cylinder and disconnect ground lead.
5. Using socket tool No. 89 96 571 or equivalent, remove pressure switch.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Fit new O-ring onto pressure switch.
b. Torque pressure switch to 15-19 ft. lbs.
c. Switch ignition on to ensure brake and ABS warning lights go off.
