Campaign Modification Plate

After all recall work has been completed, mark the Campaign Modification Plate in box C5 (See figure 11). Use a 3/16 or 1/8 in. numeral "8" punch (Saab P/N 02 97 713).



Claim Procedure

Dealers Not Using Saab-Link (DCS):

For this, and for subsequent recall campaigns, owner notification letters will NOT include a special form. Complete a regular warranty claim form according to the sample shown on Page 7 of this S.I. Use the failure coding and labor operation numbers as described below:

Type of Repair Code: 05 (if only bracket is installed)
01 (if new cable and/or brake line is installed)

Recall Action Code (RAC) 1 (if only bracket is installed)

As with regular warranty claims, submit the factory copy to the Warranty Dept., Saab-Scania of America, P.O. Box 697, Orange, CT 06477 within 30 days of the repair date.


Dealers Using Saab-Link (DCS)

Using the "Warranty Claim Entry" function, enter the claim data following the coding and labor operation number information listed above. No technical explanation is needed unless you find damaged brake lines. In such a case, explain the damage.

Use your "Dealer Administration" function to add:

^ Failure code 10277 to your "Failed Part Table"

^ Labor operations 10277, 52203, 52204, 52205 and 52206 to your "Operation Number Table."

For all of these new operation numbers, use 88 for beginning year, 99 for ending year, and 9 for engine type.

^ For 10277, use A for transmission type.

^ For 52203, 52204, 52205 and 52206, use B for transmission type.

Transmit the claim within 15 days of the repair date.
