Command codes instruct the ECU to perform certain functions.
When the vehicle is being driven with ISAT connected, it is normal for the TCS CTRL light to be on, for idling to be rough and for the cruise control to be disabled.
All ISAT command codes beginning with the numeral 2 can be used with the engine is running. Use the following procedure to initiate command codes.
1. Connect ISAT and capacitor lead, part No. 86-11-048, to Black diagnostic connector.
2. Turn ignition key to Drive position. Do not start engine.
3. Establish communications between ISAT and EST ECU.
4. Enter desired command code (starting with 2xx).
5. Start vehicle, then perform test. ISAT response to a command code is constantly shown on the display.
6. To enter a new command code, terminate communications, shut off engine and repeat this procedure starting at step 2.
Refer to Fig. 6, for ISAT command codes.
