Air Bag Control Module: Application and ID

Saab SST # 84 71 112 SRS System Tester:

In order to obtain the control module number the following procedure must be performed.

CONNECTING SRS SYSTEM TESTER
1. Connect the tester to the special SRS data link connector located behind the lower compartment in the center console.
2. Turn Ignition ON, "00" appears in the display.
3. Press "B" key on the SRS tester.
Note: The first time it is pressed the code for SRS (system designation) "41" will be displayed. The second time it is pressed the program version "03", etc. will be displayed, as shown in the table below,
Each control module has its own number which can be read by pressing the "A" and "B" keys simultaneously. "tn" will then appear in the display. Then press the "C" key repeatedly to obtain the entire number. The number consists of ten digits, which will be displayed two at a time.
