Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 86 Ignition Coil Resistance Checks:

1. Disconnect the ignition coil connectors.
2. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 15, 2 Fig. 86. The reading should be approximately 1/2 to 3/4 Ohm.
3. Measure the resistance between terminal 1 and the center tower, 1 Fig. 86. The reading should be approximately 2400 to 3500 Ohms.
