SUBJECT: RUNNING CHANGE-NEW POWER SUPPLY CONNECTION FOR SAAB GUARD ALARM

APPLICATION: MID-88 AND LATER 900 MODELS






Beginning with VIN J3018219 and J7026393 the power supply wiring for the Saab Guard Alarm has been revised. Wire 695 BL (blue) has been moved from pin 29 to pin 9 in the white 29-pin connector (152A). The new wiring provides protection for the alarm system via fuse 24. See below for a revised wiring diagram.

Note that there is no change in the wiring at the connector for the alarm module.

Reference this S.I. on p. 290 and p. 294 of Service Manual Sec. 3:2, "Electrical System, System Diagrams, Operation and Fault Tracing 1987-88". You may wish to also write the VIN numbers (listed above) on these pages to note this mid-year change.
