APPLICATION: ALL 9000 MODELS


Various methods are currently available for removing the glued windows of the 9000 (windshield, rear hatch, rear quarter). Saab has thoroughly tested three of these for the purpose of recommending the best method for your dealerships.

Of these three methods (piano wire, hot knife and oscillating knife) Saab has settled on the oscillating knife method as being the safest and fastest. The oscillating knife reduces the time it takes to remove glass and provides the least risk of dripping melted rubber on the upholstery or damage to the paintwork.

Given here is technical and ordering information for the Fein AStlxe 636-5 Special Cutter which Saab has tested and is probably best suited for the special Saab applications. The Fein Special Cutter can also be used for many other "hard to remove" windshields both domestic and imported.
