Connection of Exhaust Extraction Equipment

Connection Of Exhaust Extraction Equipment

When connecting exhaust extraction equipment to a car indoors, avoid excessive negative pressure in the exhaust system. This could affect the readings when measuring CO content, for instance.

If excessively powerful exhaust extraction equipment is connected to a turbocharged car, oil may escape through the seals in the turbo unit.

This will result in the sound-damping material in the exhaust system becoming saturated with oil, causing the car to trail blue smoke behind it for some considerable time afterwards.

Excessively powerful exhaust extraction can be avoided by using an exhaust hose with an open connection.
