When using exhaust extraction equipment in the workshop, avoid excessive depressurization of the car's exhaust system as this could affect the results of CO measurement. If excessively powerful exhaust extraction equipment Is connected to a Turbo car, oil may escape through the seals in the turbo unit. This will result in the exhaust system becoming saturated with oil and blue smoke will be emitted in the exhaust for some considerable time afterwards. To avoid excessively powerful exhaust extraction, connect an extract hose with an open coupling.
