Checking the Warm-Up Period
Checking The Warm-up PeriodTools:
- Multimeter
- CO meter (cars without cat.)
- Breakout box 8611 006
1 Connect the CO meter and exhaust extraction equipment.
Connect Breakout Box 86 11 006 to the LH control module.
2 Start the engine.
3 Check engine speed during the warm-up period. Engine speed and the CO content (cars without cat.) should decrease as engine temperature increases.
4 Take voltage readings as in the table.
LH 2.2
across pin 9 (positive) and pin 13 (negative)
LH 2.4, 2.4.1, 2.4.2
across pin 9 (positive) and pin 18 (negative)
The above figures are only approximate. If the readings are not OK, check the CO setting, see "Checking and adjusting the CO content" ZZZZZZ or "Checking the temperature sensor" Testing and Inspection or "Checking the operation of filament (hot wire) burn-oft". Testing and Inspection
If these are OK, try fitting another control module.
5 Check and if necessary adjust the CO content as described in "Adjusting the CO content". ZZZZZZ
