Checking Full-Load Enrichment (LH 2.2)

Checking Full-load Enrichment (LH 2.2)

Tools:
- CO meter
- Multimeter
- Breakout box 86 11 006

1 Connect the CO meter and exhaust extraction equipment.

2 Start the engine and warm it up.

3 Unplug the connector from the throttle position switch. Connect a jumper lead across pins 3 and 2 in the position switch's connector.

4 Check that the CQ reading (cars without catalytic converter) rises by 2-4%.

It it does not, connect Breakout Box 86 11 006 to the LH control module.

Take a reading across pins 9 (positive) and 13 (negative). Check that the voltage rises by about 0.1 V.

5 If it does not, check the leads connected to the LH control module. See "Checking and adjusting the throttle position switch". Testing and Inspection If the leads are OK, try fitting another control module.

6 Check and adjust the CO content as described in "Adjusting the CO content". ZZZZZZ
