Plush mats as sold by Saab for the 9000 are equipped with MAT-LOC straps to secure the driver's side floor mat within the footwell compartment. These straps are packaged with the sets and must be used to ensure that mat movement does not occur. These instructions are also packaged with the mat sets.

Strap/Mat Installation

1. Use a razor or sharp knife to make two 1/2" horizontal cuts in the carpet where the floor pan meets the driver's seat support beam in the positions marked with an "X" (see drawing). Do not cut any wires.

2. Pass the MAT-LOC strap end through the slits, around the beam and through the buckle. Tighten securely.

3. Lift the latches opening the MAT-LOC clips and secure them to the rear of the carpet.

4. Check that the carpet is held away from any possible contact with the accelerator pedal.
