Overboost Switch: Testing and Inspection

Checking the Pressure Switch (LH 2.2)





Tools:
- Pressure testing equipment 83 93 514
- Pressure/vacuum pump 30 14 883


1 Disconnect the pressure switch hose at the intake manifold and plug the connection.

2 Connect pressure test equipment 83 93 514 to the pressure switch hose and connect pressure vacuum pump 30 14 883 to the pressure gauge T-piece.

3 Start the engine and pump up the pressure. It the engine stops before or after:
1.10 ± 0.05 bar (cars without catalytic converter)
0.95 ± 0.03 bar (cars with catalytic converter)
change the pressure switch.
