The Saab 900S is equipped with a 4-pole test socket ahead of the use box which accepts a special test harness. On cars built within the following VIN Serial Numbers the socket may be incorrectly wired:

G2000001 - G2004802



To avoid a bad connection between the 4-pole test socket and the test harness, compare the wire locations with the drawing at the right.

Correct if necessary.

In isolated cases a 4-pole relay holder may be installed in place of the 4-pole test socket. If so, replace the relay holder with the correct test socket (P/N 85-21- 536).

83-94-058) recently announced in
S.I. 01/86-820 may also have a
miswired plug. Check the wiring
against the drawing at the right
and correct if necessary.
