Resistance measurements are strongly affected by temperature. The valve should be checked at room temperature. The engine should not be run before starting this test procedure.
1. Disconnect connector from AIC valve.
2. Connect digital volt/ohmmeter to actuator terminal pins as shown in Fig. 64. Resistance should be as specified.
3. If an intermittent fault is suspected, lightly tap actuator while reading resistance from center pin to two outer pins.
4. If resistance is not as specified in Fig. 64, install new AIC valve.
