A remote starter box is now available which utilizes the TSI socket on some Saab 99 models and all 900 and 9000 models.

The remote starter allows the engine to be cranked when working inside the engine compartment. A switch is also supplied to permit the ignition to be switched on or off.

Another feature of the remote starter box is a provision for tachometer pickup.

Warning: Always be sure that the transmission is in Neutral or Park with the parking brake set when using this or any remote starting device. Keep your hands away from the cooling fans at all times.

The engine temperature should also be closely monitored as the cooling fans may not be in the circuit of the TSI socket of certain years and models.

This is not a required special tool. Purchase of the tool is made at the dealer's option.
