Solenoid Valve Testing
1. Disconnect wiring harness connector to solenoid, and disconnect hose to solenoid ``R'' fitting at turbocharger inlet.
2. Using jumper wires, connect battery voltage across solenoid terminals.
3. Solenoid should open with an audible click. Check that air passes through valve by blowing through disconnected hose.
4. Disconnect jumper wires. Solenoid should close valve and no air should pass.
5. Check orifice inside solenoid valve ``C'' fitting. Orifice should be free from dirt or obstruction.
6. If solenoid fails to operate as specified, or if orifice is not as specified, solenoid valve must be replaced.
