Fuel Pressure Regulator: Adjustments

Adjustment is only necessary after a replacement pressure regulator has been installed.

1. Remove air filter.
2. Connect tachometer between terminals D1-1 and D1-3.
3. Connect fuel pressure gauge to fuel body pressure test fitting.
4. Start engine and accelerate to approximately 2000 RPM.
5. Turn adjustment screw on bottom of regulator to obtain pressure of 14.5 (4-85) or 17.4 (4-105) psi. Turning screw inward increases pressure and turning screw outward decreases pressure.
6. Turn ignition off.
7. Disconnect tachometer.
8. Disconnect fuel pressure gauge and install cap on test fitting.
9. Install air filter.
