System Sentry Component Replacement
Fluid Level-Type Sensor Replacement1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Disconnect the sensor wires.
3. Remove the original sensor and install the replacement sensor.
NOTE: On automatic transaxle models, the sensor is an integral part of the transmission dipstick. If the sensor is inoperative, the sensor and dipstick must be replaced as an assembly.
4. Connect the sensor wires.
5. Connect the battery negative cable and verify circuit operation.
Disc Brake Pad Sensor and Signal Fuse Replacement
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the brake pads as outlined on page K21 through K23 in the M.R. 240 manual.
3. Tap the old sensor out of each inboard brake pad with a hammer and punch.
4. Install the replacement sensors in the new inboard brake pads and snap the sensors into place.
5. Install the brake pads as outlined on pages K21 through K23 in the M.R. 240 manual.
6. Replace the 3 amp signal fuse as follows:
^ Remove the steering column lower cover.
^ Locate the 3 amp in-line signal fuse in the 20 gauge black with red tracer wire. This wire is taped to the wire harness along the left side of the steering column.
^ Replace the signal fuse and reinstall the steering column lower cover.
7. Connect the battery negative cable and verify circuit operation.

Console Replacement
1. Remove the 2 screws (B) attaching the console to the instrument panel (Fig. 1).
2. Lift the console upward, disconnect the console wires and remove the console.
3. Connect the replacement console wires, position the console on the instrument panel and install the console attaching screws.
