FLOOR CARPET

REMOVAL

1. Lower convertible top.
2. Open doors.
3. Remove floor mats.
4. Remove both seats.
5. Disconnect stereo amplifier wire connector.
6. Remove stereo amplifier from underneath passenger seat.
7. Remove shifter knob.
8. Remove shifter bezel.
9. Remove center console.
10. Remove left and right quarter trim panels.
11. Remove left and right cowl trim panels.
12. Remove hood release handle and disconnect cable and feed assembly thorough hole in carpet.
13. Remove seat belt anchors on both sides.
14. Disengage hook and loop tabs from instrument panel tunnel brackets and at footwells.
15. Diesel equipped vehicle, remove battery and battery tray from under the seat.
16. Push amplifier and driver's seat belt wire connector back through the slits in carpet.
17. Remove carpet from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Position carpet in vehicle.
2. Route amplifier and driver's seat belt wire connector through the slits in carpet.
3. Diesel equipped vehicle, install battery and battery tray underneath the seat.
4. Snap sill trim over left and right door opening flange.
5. Engage hook and loop tabs.
6. Install seat belt anchors on both sides.
7. Connect hood release cable.
8. Install left and right cowl trim panels.
9. Install left and right quarter trim panels
10. Install center console and console bin, shifter bezel and shifter knob.
11. Connect stereo amplifier wire connector.
12. Install stereo amplifier.
13. Install both seats and connect driver's side wire connector.
14. Install floor mats.
