Hood Latch: Service and Repair

HOOD LATCH

REMOVAL

1. Open hood and support.
2. Mark latch bolt location for ease in installation.

3. Remove bolts attaching hood latch to radiator support (Fig. 1).
4. Disengage remote hood release cable from hood latch.
5. Remove hood latch from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Position hood latch to vehicle.
2. Engage remote release cable to hood latch.
3. Install fasteners attaching hood latch to radiator support.
4. Verify operation and adjust as necessary.
